Transformer Supplier - Advantages and Wiring Methods of Dry-Type Isolation Transformers.

2022-06-26

Dry-type isolation transformers are widely used in AC circuits with frequencies from 50Hz to 60Hz and voltages below 690V. Various input and output voltage levels, connection groups, the number and location of adjustment taps (generally ±5%), winding capacity distribution, secondary single-phase winding configuration, rectifier circuit application, and whether a casing is required can all be meticulously designed and manufactured according to user requirements.

Advantages of dry-type isolation transformers:

  1. High isolation

  2. Excellent N-G performance

  3. High common-mode interference suppression

  4. Easy voltage tap switching

  5. Can be designed according to the user's specific performance requirements (transformer)

Connection Methods for Dry-Type Isolation Transformers:

The connection group of a dry-type isolation transformer is a representation of the combined connection form of the primary and secondary windings. Common dry-type isolation transformers have two connection methods: "delta connection" and "star connection." In the transformer connection group, "D" indicates a delta connection, "Yn" indicates a star connection with a neutral line, Y represents star, and n represents a connection with a neutral line. "11" indicates that the secondary line voltage Uab lags behind the primary line voltage UAB by 330 degrees (or leads by 30 degrees).
